Breaking The Silence

Just got back from an International Understanding Film Festival, hosted by the Interact Club of Sri Aman, at PJ Live Arts, Section 13 with Alexandrea and a few other friends. The theme that they picked this year was 'Breaking The Silence'. The International Understanding event was mainly around human trafficking, about how it affects other's lives. Human trafficking is the trade of human beings and their use by criminals to make money. That could mean forcing or tricking people into prostitution, begging, or manual labour. Between 2 and 4 million people are trafficked worldwide every year.
The Interact Club of Sri Aman played their part to combat this global issue by raising funds for a local anti-trafficking organization, Tenaganita, who plays a part in tackling the problem of, trafficking of women and children in Malaysia and raise awareness at the same time. They collaborated with MTVEXIT and the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT), an international organization that promotes the global fight on human trafficking, to make this event a success.
I personally think that they did a really great job in attracting the crowd's attention. It was very well organized and the performances went great together, especially Herman's. Fantastic job on this one, Sri Aman!

Are we, or are we not?
