I can't believe that I'm going to turn fifteen in just a matter of four days' time. Another year has come and gone, just like that. Fourteen was really exhilarating. A roller coaster ride, I would say.
I think one of the most thrilling points in my life throughout the past year was when my previous class took third for the Inter-Class English Drama Competition, The Phantom of The Opera. We enjoyed ourselves throughout the entire process. It was a moment in my life that I savoured, a lot.
Another shocking breakthrough was when I managed to compose a total of 9 songs throughout the past year. I never knew I could do something like that. I never did. Just then, I knew that pursued dreams can be achieved if we put in effort and don't stop believing in what you do.
Last April, I decided to give myself a try for the school's debating unit, and 2 months after, I debuted in an international inter-varsity debate competition, which was held a few weeks ago.
I was lost for words. Definitely, I felt very fortunate that I was given the chance to participate in a debate competition, in such a short period of time. It was an enriching yet eye-opening experience for me and my fellow team mates.
Also in April, I was nominated and was in the run for becoming the next International Understanding Director. It was hard, going against a friend you liked a lot. Even though I didn't succeed, I was happy. After all, I can always try again.
Looking back at all the things that I had succeeded so far, I feel very grateful and satisfied.
I'm currently at the peak point in my life. It might seem challenging, and sometimes, quite tiring, but nobody said that this journey is going to be easy. I tend to outdo myself every time, and get back up when I fall, not giving up when trouble is headed our way.
I can do this, I know I can.
